Light up the darkness with this pretty porcelain votive.

These bowls are thrown in porcelain on the wheel; then the flower design is painted on with slip. It is then coated with wax and the surrounding area is wiped back to increase the surface relief of the pattern. The inside of each flower is pierced to allow twinkly lights to shine through.

They are finished in a variety of coloured glazes.

The glossy white version features a real gold rim.

The version with gold flowers also includes a disc for flower arranging and a glass vial to make it into a vase.

They measure between 7 and 8cm tall.

Each piece is glazed to temperature of 1250 C,.

I take care to package each one beautifully, using recyclable materials.
