my love for clay started when…

…I was at secondary school doing Art A-level, but I didn’t discover my passion for the wheel until a lot later. I got back into pottery after a career break and having children. Working with clay helped me to regain my identity and self -worth after my early work was included in a couple of exhibitions at the Midlands Art Centre. Fast forward a few years and I am now set up at home, next to my house I have this lovely garden studio. I still have to pinch myself to see how lucky I am to be doing what I love virtually every day - obviously I’m not so keen on the admin side- but you can’t have everything in life!

I’m still very much small batch, I attend local markets and supply a mixture of local shops and galleries. The more I learn about clay and glazes the more I feel there is to learn so its an exciting path to be on….
