Sorry to mention the 'C' word so soon, but I was so excited today as a) I was accepted for the Bearwood Handmade market b) these cute snowflakes turned out ok in yesterday's firing and c) I got a new camera for my birthday which all equals new blog post!
I am dead chuffed to be involved in all of the markets listed above; we are spoilt in South Birmingham to have such a choice of fantastic craft fairs which stock high quality hand-made work from exciting designer makers, with Bearwood and Moseley also having a local emphasis. And if anyone wants to commission something a little different or special then the markets are a great time to come to say 'hi' and do this.
Bearwood Handmade is very dear to me as it is where I did my first craft fair last year, with a close friend, Sarah from Felti. It is run by the 'Crafty Muthas', a very supportive and talented group of ladies, and takes place indoors, so has a lovely cosy feel to it with fab refreshments too. (Bearwood Baptist Church, Rawlings Road, B66 4HA).
This year's Mac's Contemporary Craft Fairs run on Sat 6 &Sun 7, Sat 13 & Sun 14 December, open from 11am-5pm daily. I'm there Sunday 14th.
I'll be posting more information about the fairs nearer the time.
Also there will be a week long exhibition of local ceramicists from 22-29th November at the Woodbridge Gallery in Moseley (B13 9DZ).
Have a craftastic one! x
