I've been so busy getting ready for the festive buying period that I haven't had a chance to join in with urban jungle bloggers for ages, which is a real shame as I do love taking photos of my plants.
This month their focus is on creative plant pots and as this is what I love making, it would be really rude not to take part, so this is going to showcase a few of the favourite items I've been making, some of which are available in my etsy shop. Sorry for the shameless self-promotion!
I teamed my bambino planters with stylish airplants bought from @houseofplants, @komoonko and @montibymonti. New to my range of planters this year are the indigo marbled porcelain and the pink colourways.
I've also been practising my knotting....
In this image you can see the beautiful wall-hanging from New Zealand fibre artist, Nalani, @knottybloom. Nalani's work has been a big inspiration for me and I've gradually been incorporating more intricate knotting to suspend my planters with. To add interest to the simple shapes of these planters I've used glaze, piercing and marbling.
And whilst we are hanging around I've added pine-cone and snowflake garlands to give an understated and natural festive feeling.
I couldn't resist showing you a close-up of those blue marbled swirls...
And this year I've also introduced new colourways: grey and turquoise blue to add to my original colour ways of green and white.
Loving today's winter light as it hits this Tillsandsia Useneoides....
Going to check out all the other favourite planters from the other #urbanjunglebloggers.
Have a good week.
